Below is a possible method for going about each lesson.
- Try to learn the lesson with the intention of teaching it to someone else.
- Read the reading exercises out loud. Check pronunciation, especially on vowel length and stress. Do this slowly. Don't rush through because you're bored or out of time.
- Translate the reading exercises, also out loud, following the order of the Latin sentence as well as possible.
- Rearrange the word order of the translation if the translated sentence sounds unnatural.
- Do the exercises. Suggested drills are good additional practice.
- The next day, go back to the lessons and review again. Spaced repetition helps with memory retention.
